We're ba-a-a-ck!

The Castaways Sailing Club has an active cruising program for 2024.  In the past, there have been cruises to the Bahamas, Bermuda, and the East Coast of Florida, as well as short events around the local watering holes in the Palm Beach area.

Potential cruises are (please email me at jonarck@kelarc.com for your interests and/or suggestions):

  • Feb 24-26 -- Lake Sylvia (Ft. Lauderdale) / No-Name Harbour (Biscayne Bay)
    • February 24 to Lake Sylvia
    • February 27 to No Name Harbor
    • February 28 to WPB (Gulf Stream assist enables a one-day return; if not, can stop overnight at Lake Sylvia on way back
  • Mar 9-10 -- Manatee Pocket (Daylight Savings Time starts 3/10 @2 am)
  • April 6-7 -- Ft. Pierce / Cape Canaveral / St. Augustine (10 days)
  • May -- open
  • June 15-28 --  Abacos and/or Exumas (2 weeks)
  • Oct-- open
  • Nov -- No-Name Harbour / Marathon / Key West / Dry Tortugas (multi-leg – do as many as desired -- 10-16 days)

Jon and his wife, Gloria, own Tweety Bird, a 2023 Catalina 425, that is berthed in Soverel Harbour Marina in Palm Beach Gardens. He is a 50T USCG licensed Master with Sailing endorsement and a certified ASA Instructor. They previously owned a 2016 Leopard 44 catamaran from 2015-2022 and a Catalina 34 Mk II in San Francisco Bay from 1997-2015.
